Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
The Early Learning Center is a loving, caring Christian day care center. We work together to implement the activities and routines that will promote learning for each child as an individual and group. Chapel is held every Wednesday with the minister. We have low child/staff ratios. Creative Curriculum is used by state-credentialed teachers. The classrooms are electronically monitored and our facilities are new and well-maintained. Come learn with us.

The mission of the Early Learning Center (ELC) is to provide a preschool daycare experience in a safe, nurturing Christian environment which prepares a child for success in kindergarten.
Motto: “The Wonder of Childhood...The Joy of Learning...The Love of God”.
Meet the team.
Chervon Evans-Morris
ELC Director
My name is Chervon Evans-Morris. I am married to my husband Derrick. We have two daughters, whose names are Jeanna and Jillian. I also consider myself a lifelong learner. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree and graduated from Ashford University with a Master's Degree. I have been teaching for twelve years and teaching is definitely a passion of mine! I feel as though my greatest contribution so far in education has been serving my students to the best of my abilities and being an advocate for their education.
As the ELC director, I am excited to be able to work with my ELC family to ensure that the ELC staff are providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate, Christian-based, loving, nurturing, engaging, hands-on learning experiences to each of our children!

Happy Pals Class
Hello! My name is Kelly Dunlap. I have been working in childcare for 12 years. I used to work at White Oak Christian Childcare before working at the Early Learning Center. I am originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, I moved here to the beach with my family in 2004 after I graduated from high school. I love working with children and teaching them and watching them grow. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and going to the gym along with the occasional walk as well. I also love spending time at the beach with my family and friends. I love working at the Early Learning Center at the First Methodist Church.
