Worship -- putting God at the center -- is the most important part of our life at First Methodist, Morehead City. Our worship of God is not limited to a particular hour on Sunday morning! We strive to live in such a way that everything and every moment becomes an offering of worship and devotion to God. And when we come together on Sunday mornings, we pray, sing and grow closer in fellowship to one another and to God. Sunday Morning Worship is the primary place when we connect with the God who creates us, loves us, forgives us and empowers us. Recognizing that not everyone worships in the same way, we offer three services each Sunday in two distinct styles.
Traditional
Sunday morning services at 8:30 and 11:00 offer a more formal atmosphere, with music provided by the chancel choir at the 11:00 service. A full Communion service is celebrated monthly at both services. Livestream available at the 11:00 service.
The Rise Contemporary
Sunday Morning Contemporary Worship Service (called The Rise) at 9:45am is a service with a more informal atmosphere, casual dress, and a praise band. It begins at 9:45am in the Fellowship Hall, adjoining the Wallace Building. A full Communion service is celebrated monthly during this service as well.
